The story of the extraordinary life and career of country music legend Dolly Parton is coming to the stage in Dolly: An Original Musical.

This original new musical features a book by Dolly herself with Maria S. Schlatter, and all of the classic Dolly Parton songs you know and love – plus some new songs written specially by Dolly for the show.

Charting the incredible life of one of the greatest icons in music history, Dolly: An Original Musical charts the highs and lows of Dolly’s career, from humble beginnings to mega superstardom.

Dolly: An Original Musical will be directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher (The King & I, South Pacific).

Dolly: An Original Musical is premiering on Broadway in 2026. The show will have a pre-Broadway tryout at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville, TN from 18 July to 17 August 2025.
