Olivier Award-winning musicals actor Matt Henry is joining the cast of major new London show The Devil Wears Prada, coming to the West End’s Dominion Theatre in 2024.

Matt will play Runway magazine’s leading fashion authority Nigel, a close confident of tough-talking fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly, played in the show by stage and screen star Vanessa Williams.

Matt is best known for his Olivier Award-winning performance playing Lola in Kinky Boots and for being a finalist on the second series of The Voice.

Matt Henry said in a statement: “Having been a huge fan of the film, a passion for fashion and the fact that the role of Nigel is iconic, what’s not to love about joining the cast of The Devil Wears Prada The Musical?! Being able to draw inspiration and pay homage to the leading black men in the fashion industry, such as the amazing Edward Enninful and the late André Leon Talley is what truly excites me about taking on this incredible role.”

The Devil Wears Prada The Musical is based on the blockbuster film and bestselling novel, and features an original score by music legend and EGOT winner Elton John (Disney’s The Lion King), lyrics by singer-songwriter Shaina Taub, and a book by Kate Wetherhead (Submissions Only).
