The London cast of SIX The Musical performed at Buckingham Palace this week!

The cast gave an exclusive performance of a new arrangement of “Haus of Holbein”, performing within The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace.

Performing in the video are the cast of SIX, including Nikki Bentley as Catherine of Aragon, Thao Therese Nguyen as Anne Boleyn, Kayleigh McKnight as Jane Seymour, Naomi Alade as Alternate Anna of Cleves, Inez Budd as Katherine Howard and Janiq Charles as Catherine Parr.

They performed the song, arranged by UK Associate Musical Supervisor Lauren Hopkinson, and accompanied by the Ladies in Waiting, Caroline Arnoppon keys, Kelly Morris on bass, Emma Jemima on Guitar and Alice Angliss on Drums., in front of the portraits of the people they play, including Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour and Henry VIII.

The current exhibition at The King’s Gallery is the story of famous 16th century painter Holbein, and his time in England, navigating the shifting sands of religious reform and political intrigue to rise to the position of king’s painter and create the enduring images of Henry VIII and his circle that we know today. More than 40 of Holbein’s intimate portrait drawings of the royal family and Tudor nobility are featured in the exhibition, including drawings of Henry VIII’s wives Anne Boleyn and Jane Seymour.

SIX is the winner of over 35 international awards, including two 2022 Tony Awards, a WhatsOnStage award, and nominated for five Oliviers.

The show is created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. The pair also have a new musical out – Why Am I So Single?, which is coming to the Garrick Theatre in London in August 2024.

SIX The Musical is booking at the Vaudeville Theatre to 3 November 2024.
