A web of deception and dark desires lie behind Emlyn William’s classic play Accolade, touring the UK in 2024.

From award-winning director Sean Mathias (Frank and Percy, The Chalk Garden, Bent), step inside the vibrant world of London’s intellectual elite, where the price of success is often too high to pay.

Accolade follows the life of a celebrated writer on the verge of receiving a much-coveted accolade for his work. However, behind the prestigious façade lies a web of deception and dark desires, ready to unravel his carefully constructed life.

With razor-sharp dialogue, and unexpected twists at every turn, Accolade grips your heart and mind, forcing you to examine the fine line between truth and lies.

Rediscover this classic 1950 thriller by one of Britain’s greatest playwrights, Emlyn Williams (Night Must Fall, The Corn is Green), starring Ayden Callaghan (Hollyoaks, The Bodyguard) as Will Trenting, and Honeysuckle Weeks (Foyle’s War, Calendar Girls) as Rona Trenting, and Sara Crowe (Fallen Angels) as Marian Tillyard.

Accolade premieres at the Theatre Royal Windsor in May 2024, and then visits the Guildford Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Bath Theatre Royal, and Richmond Theatre in London – see dates below.
