The UK and European premiere of Paul Grellong’s acclaimed play Power of Sail comes to the Menier Chocolate Factory in London.

Directed by Dominic Dromgoole (Marjorie Prime), former artistic director of Shakespeare’s Globe, this moral thriller investigates the thin line between hate and freedom of speech, and asks who bears the ultimate cost?

Penned by Paul Grellong, whose TV credits include The Boys and Law & Order: SVU, Power of Sail promises to be one of the most talked-about plays of the year.

A strong cast includes West End star and Olivier Award winner Julian Ovenden (South Pacific), and screen and stage star Tanya Franks (EastEnders).

Power of Sail runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 20 March to 12 May 2024.

All hell breaks loose when Harvard professor Charles Nichols invites a contentious white nationalist to his yearly symposium. His colleagues are very concerned about how this will affect both his and the University’s reputation; his students are vociferously protesting. However, Charles refuses to budge. Is there another agenda?
