An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical – Full Cast Announced

Full casting has bee announced for the 2024 UK tour of An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical.

The romantic musical comedy stars previously announced Luke Baker (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, West End) and Georgia Lennon (Marie Osmond in The Osmonds: A New Musical UK tour) as Zack Mayo and Paula Pokrifki, famously portrayed in the film by Richard Gere and Debra Winger.

Paul French (Kenickie in Grease, West End), Sinead Long (Hamilton, Chess, West End) and Jamal Crawford (Back To The Future The Musical, West End) will play Sid Worley, Gunnery Sergeant Emil Foley and Lynette Pomeroy respectively. 

New cast announced today are: Melanie Masson (The X-Factor)as Esther Pokrifki, Tim Rogers (West Side Story, UK Tour) as Byron Mayo, Olivia Foster-Browne (Grease, West End) as Casey Seegar and Lucas Piquero (Sister Act, Frankfurt) as Eduardo Cortez with Chris Breistein (School of Rock, UK Tour) as Finman, Wendi Harriott (The Voice UK) as Aunt Bunny, James Wilkinson-Jones (South Pacific Sadler’s Wells/UK Tour) as Troy and Danny Whelan (Miss Saigon, Sheffield Crucible) as Craig. The cast is completed by Julia Jones (MAMMA MIA! The Party, The O2), Etisyai Philip (Cluedo, UK Tour), Mia Harrison (Million Dollar Quartet, Norwegian Cruise Line), Lukin Simmonds (Annie, UK Tour), Will May (The Twelve Tenors, European Tour) and Ellie Grace Cousins (MAMMA MIA!, Novello Theatre).

An Officer and a Gentleman The Musical first appeared at The Curve Leicester in 2018, and is back with a massive UK starting at The Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham on 23 February 2024; It will then visit locations including Brighton, Manchester, Oxford and York.

The show is based on the much-loved 1982 movie starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger, and has a book by Douglas Day Stewart and Sharleen Cooper Cohen. Direction is by Artistic Director of Curve Nikolai Foster, with choreography by Joanna Goodwin.

The show is produced by West End showman Jamie Wilson (Mrs Doubtfire The Musical, Sister Act The Musical, Ain’t Too Proud), plus Jack Maple, Gavin Kalin and Jason Haigh-Ellery in association with Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros Theatre Ventures.
