Elf starring Matthew Wolfenden & Tom Chambers – rehearsal photos

Rehearsals are in full swing for the West End revival of ELF The Musical starring Matthew Wolfenden & Tom Chambers.

Producers have released behind-the-scenes rehearsal photos for the hit musical comedy. These new photos add to the photos released last week giving a first-look of the lead cast in character.

Matthew Wolfenden, best known for appearing on TV series Emmerdale plays Buddy the Elf, alongside Georgina Castle (Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia) as Jovie, Tom Chambers (Waterloo Road, Holby City) as Walter Hobbs, Rebecca Lock (The Phantom of the Opera, Avenue Q) as Emily Hobbs, Nicholas Pound (Cats, The Rocky Horror Show) as Santa, Kim Ismay (Wicked, Saturday Night Fever) as Debs and Dermot Canavan (Hairspray, Oklahoma!) as Store Manager..

Returning to London’s Dominion Theatre for a second consecutive year, the 2023 production will mark 20 years since the original release of this hit film.

Based on the much-loved 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell, Elf has a book by Tony Award-winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone), with songs by Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer).

ELF is a hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Raised as an elf and never quite fitting in, when Santa tells him the truth, Buddy heads to New York to find his birth father, and discovers the gifts of family and love.

ELF The Musical runs from 15 November 2023 until 6 January 2024
