The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing have revealed the date and venue for next year’s 77th annual Tony Awards 2024.
The awards ceremony will take place at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, on Sunday 16 June 2024.
The eligibility date for the awards has also been confirmed, with the 2023 to 2024 season cut-off date set at Thursday 25 April for all Broadway productions which meet the eligibility requirements.
Nominations for the 2024 Tony Awards will be announced on Tuesday 30 April 2024.
The awards will once again air live on CBS and Paramount+ in the US. It hasn’t yet been confirmed how UK audiences will be able to watch the awards.
Last year’s awards took place at the United Palace in New York City’s Washington Heights, with 2023 Tony Awards winners including Jodie Comer, who took home Best Actress for her performance in Prima Facie. Musical Kimberly Akimbo took home the most Tonys, with five, including Best Musical and best actress for Victoria Clark; followed by Some Like It Hot, with four wins, including a best actor win for J Harrison Ghee.
