Pygmalion at The Old Vic – in pictures

Production photos have been released by The Old Vic for their revival of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion starring Bertie Carvel and Patsy Ferran.

The play is directed by Richard Jones, and is playing at The Old Vic until 28 October 2023.

The cast of Pygmalion stars Bertie Carvel (The 47th, The Crown) as Professor Henry Higgins and Patsy Ferran (A Streetcar Named Desire) as Eliza Doolittle, alongside Michael Gould as Colonel Pickering, Sylvestra Le Touzel as Mrs Higgins, John Marquez as Alfred Doolittle, Taheen Modak as Freddy Eynsford Hill, Penny Layden as Mrs Pearce, plus Lizzy Connolly (Clara Eynsford Hill), Grace Cookey-Gam (Mrs Eynsford Hill), Steven Dykes (Ensemble), Liz Jadav (Ensemble), Caroline Moroney (Ensemble), Rohan Rakhit (Ensemble) and Kieran Smith (Aristid Karpathy).

The creative team includes Direction by Richard Jones, Design by Stewart Laing (The Hairy Ape, Titanic), Lighting by Adam Silverman (Endgame, Màm), Sound by Tony Gayle (Sylvia, My Neighbour Totoro), Composition & Arrangement by Will Stuart (A Christmas Carol, My Neighbour Totoro), Movement by Sarah Fahie (Endgame, Alcina), Casting by Jessica Ronane CDG, Dialect by William Conacher, Voice by Charlie Hughes-D’Aeth, Costume Supervision by Sarah Bowern and Wigs, Hair and Make-Up Supervision by Keisha-Paris Banya.

Following Pygmalion, The Old Vic will revive its annual festive treat Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, running from 11 November 2023 to 6 January 2024 starring Christopher Eccleston.
