Rehearsal photos are in for the West End revival of Sunset Boulevard starring Nicole Scherzinger as Norma Desmond.
Jamie Lloyd’s new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s acclaimed musical is set to open at the Savoy Theatre this Autumn, running from 16 October 2023 to 6 January 2024. From the looks of these photos, rehearsals are well underway for the beloved Lloyd Webber show.
Based on the Billy Wilder film, Sunset Boulevard has music by Lloyd Webber, with a book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton. This thrillingly atmospheric musical features an iconic score including the songs With One Look, The Perfect Year and As If We Never Said Goodbye.
Lead casting features Tom Francis as Joe Gillis, Grace Hodgett Young as Betty Schaefer and David Thaxton as Max Von Mayerlin. As previously announced, West End star Rachel Tucker – known for Come From Away & Wicked – is to guest star as Norma Desmond on Monday nights and other select performances.
