Rehearsal photos are in for Next To Normal at the Donmar Warehouse in London.
The UK premiere of the Pulitzer Prize winning musical stars Grammy Award nominee Caissie Levy, Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee Jamie Parker, Trevor Dion Nicholas, Jack Ofrecio, Jack Wolfe and Olivier Award winner and BAFTA nominee Eleanor Worthington-Cox.
Caissie Levy plays Diana – her extensive theatre credits including Broadway productions Leopoldstadt, The Bedwetter, Caroline, or Change, Frozen, Les Misérables, Murder Ballad, Ghost The Musical, Hair, Wicked, and Hairspray. Her West End credits include Ghost The Musical and Hair.
Jamie Parker plays Dan. His recent theatre credits include The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Southwark Playhouse Elephant); The Doctor (Harold Pinter Theatre); Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Olivier Award winner for Best Actor and Tony Award nominee for Best Leading Actor in a Play (Palace Theatre/Lyric Theater, Broadway); Guys & Dolls (Chichester Festival Theatre/Savoy Theatre).
Trevor Dion Nicholas plays Dr. Madden/Dr. Fine. He played George Washington in the West End production of Hamilton, with other credits including Disney’s Aladdin in the West End, on Broadway and the US Tour, Big River, The Wiz, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Ragtime, The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz, Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors, Rent, The Exonerated and This is the Life.
Jack Ofrecio plays Henry. His theatre credits include From Here to Eternity (Charing Cross Theatre), Boys Will Be Boys (Flawstate) and The Merry Wives of Windsor (Shakespeare’s Globe).
Jack Wolfe plays Gabe. His theatre credits include Peter in The Magician’s Elephant (RSC); The Snow Queen (Rose Theatre Kingston); The Musician (The Belfast Ensemble); Sweeney Todd (Lyric Theatre Belfast) and Pinocchio (National Theatre).
Eleanor Worthington-Cox plays Natalie. Her theatre credits include The Secret Life of Bees (Almeida); Jerusalem (Apollo Theatre); Tom Cat (Southwark Playhouse); Bugsy Malone (Lyric Hammersmith); To Kill a Mockingbird (Regents Park Open Air Theatre) and Matilda: The Musical – Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical (Cambridge Theatre).
Donmar artistic director Michael Longhurst directs Next To Normal, with a creative team that also includes Musical Supervisor Nigel Lilley; Designer Chloe Lamford; Lighting Designer Lee Curran; Sound Designer Tony Gayle; Movement Director Ann Yee; Musical Director Nick Barstow; and Casting Director Anna Cooper CDG.
The show has music by Tom Kitt (two-time Tony Award winner), and book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey – both of whom won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Next To Normal. Their other musicals include If/Then.
Next to Normal runs at the Donmar Warehouse from 12 August to 7 October 2023.
