It’s all go over at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, as La Cage aux Folles is well into its final rehearsals.
The show starts previews VERY SOON – next Saturday, 29 July, and is running at the Open Air Theatre until 23 September 2023.

The fabulous cast for the much-loved musical includes Carl Mullaney (Chicago, Les Misérables) as Albin, and Billy Carter (A Moon For The Misbegotten) as Georges, alongside Ben Culleton as Jean-Michel, Julie Jupp as Marie Dindon, Shakeel Kimotho as Jacob, Debbie Kurup (The Cher Show) as Jacqueline, John Owen-Jones (The Great British Bake Off Musical, Les Miserables) as Edward Dindon, and Sophie Pourret (42nd Street) as Anne.

And joining them will be Jak Allen-Anderson (Hanna), Craig Armstrong (Cagelle), Tom Bales (Cagelle), Taylor Bradshaw (Cagelle), Daniele Coombe (Mme. Renaud), Jordan Lee Davies (Chantal), Nicole Deon (Ensemble), Lewis Easter (Cagelle/Swing/Dance Captain), Harvey Ebbage (Cagelle), Emma Johnson (Ensemble/Swing), George Lynham (Cagelle), JP McCue (Cagelle), Rishard-Kyro Nelson (Cagelle/Swing), Alexandra Waite-Roberts (Ensemble) and Hemi Yeroham (Francis).
Outgoing Regent’s Park artistic director Timothy Sheader is directing the show, which has a book by Harvey Fierstein, and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, and boasts classic songs such as ‘I Am What I Am’ and ‘The Best of Times’.

Currently playing at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is The Tempest – Re-imagined for everyone aged six and over, and Robin Hood The Legend. Re-Written, both finishing tomorrow 22 July. Following La Cage Aux Folles, the theatre will present Dinosaur World Live from 11 August to 3 September 2023.
