The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre presents a glorious new revival of classic musical La Cage aux Folles.

Featuring songs by Jerry Herman (Hello Dolly!) and a book by Harvey Fierstein (Funny Girl, Newsies), La Cage aux Folles is packed full of show-stopping numbers including “I am What I Am” and “The Best of Times”.

Directed by Timothy Sheader, La Cage aux Folles is playing at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from 29 July to 16 September 2023.

Tickets are now on sale for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre's exciting Summer 2023 season. In the beautiful setting on London's Regent's Park, the Open Air Theatre has launched a thrilling new season of shows playing through the summer of 2023, including revivals of two big musicals, and two shows that are perfect for young audiences. Highlights include Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty’s acclaimed musical Once On This Island, playing from 10 May to 10 June 2023 starring Gabrielle Brooks (Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical). Also, Carl Grose’s Robin Hood: The Legend. Re-written, from 17 June to 22 July, will be told with epic storytelling, stirring songs, and a thrilling new take on the classic tale, for audiences of all ages. Timothy Sheader directs the big Regent's Park summer musical - La Cage aux Folles, from 29 July to 16 September 2023. La Cage Aux Folles includes the classic songs ‘I Am What I Am’ and ‘The Best of Times’, and centres on Georges, Albin and their son Jean-Michel, as they re-discover the true meaning of family, and of putting yourself last so that the ones you love can come first. A brand new adaptation of Booker Prize winner Ben Okri’s new fairytale Every Leaf A Hallelujah, is set to play from 22 May to 10 June 2023, adapted by Chinonyerem Odimba. The Tempest re-imagined will be for everyone aged six and over, running from 30 June to 22 July at the Open Air Theatre, revised and directed by Jennifer Tang in a co-production with the Unicorn Theatre. And finally, Nicoll Entertainment’s Dinosaur World Live will hit the Open Air Theatre from 11 August to 3 September, written and directed by Derek Bond. This thrilling immersive theatre experience includes a post-show 'meet and greet' with the dinosaurs!
