Tim Minchin announces solo concert dates in London

Tim Minchin has announced a series of solo concert dates in London’s West End.

The Australian singer/song writer, comedian and actor is currently in London overseeing the revival of Groundhog Day at the Old Vic. Minchin wrote the music and lyrics for Groundhog Day as well as Matilda The Musical which has become one of the West End’s long-running hit shows.

Presented by Phil McIntyre Live, An Unfunny* Evening with Tim Minchin and His Piano (*the promoter can’t guarantee the artist won’t inadvertently amuse) will feature songs from Minchin’s 2020 studio album, Apart Together, and from his musicals, Matilda and Groundhog Day, as well as numbers from his TV and film work and from his early songwriting days.

Audience members may also be given the opportunity to vote on a selection of song choices.

The 90-minute concerts will be held at the Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue on Sundays 4, 11 and 18 June and 23 July 2023.
