First Look Photos: The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical launch event

Photos have been released from the official launch event of new musical The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical.

The event was held at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London and features performances from cast members David Hunter, Joanna Woodward, Tim Mahendran & Hiba Elchikhe as well as writers of the original music and lyrics Joss Stone and Dave Stewart. 

The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical begins previews on 7 October 2023 at the Apollo Theatre, with an official opening night on 1 November. It stars David Hunter (Waitress, Kinky Boots, Once) as Henry, Joanna Woodward Joanna Woodward (Pretty Woman The Musical, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) as Clare, Tim Mahendran (&Juliet) as Gomez, Hiba Elchikhe (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Charisse & Ross Dawes (Disney’s Newsies) as Henry’s Dad with further casting to be announced. 

The Time Traveller’s Wife: The Musical has a book by Lauren Gunderson, original music and lyrics by Joss Stone and  Dave Stewart, additional music by Nick Finlow and additional lyrics by Kait Kerrigan. The production is directed by Bill Buckhurst and designed by Anna Fleischle, with choreography by Shelley Maxwell.

The show is billed as a joyous, uplifting celebration of the strange wonder of love, however and whenever we experience it, and weaves a heart-breaking and soaring original musical score with one of the most beloved novels of the last 50 years.
