New musical Treason announces Edinburgh, Sheffield & London dates

Dates and venues for the first full staging of Treason The Musical have announced.

Kicking off with a bang on 25 October at the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh,Treason will continue to Sheffield Lyceum Theatre on 31 October and finally explode into London’s Alexandra Palace from 08 – 18 November.

Treason the Musical is an historic tale of division, religious persecution, and brutality, ending in an ambitious yet fateful plot to bring down both the monarchy and the government.

Earlier this year, the album Lighting The Fuse: Sparks From Treason In Concert was released, featuring a 19-track selection from the show which captivated further audiences. In its first month the album has surpassed 100,000 streams.

Treason has music by Ricky Allan, and book and lyrics by Ricky Allan and Kieran Lynn and features the songs “Take Things Into Our Own Hands”, “The Day Elizabeth Died” and “Blind Faith”.

Casting is to be announced.

Festival Theatre, Edinburgh: 25-28 October 2023           
Wednesday – Saturday, 7.30pm; 
With a matinee on Saturday at 2.30pm

Sheffield Lyceum Theatre: 31 October – 4 November 2023        
Tuesday – Saturday, 7.30pm;
With a matinee on Thursday, 2pm and Saturday, 3pm

Alexandra Palace, London: 8-18 November 2023
Monday – Saturday, 7.30pm, 
With matinees on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm
