Radio presenter Pandora Christie will make her West End debut in & Juliet at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London.
Pandora, who presents the weekday mid-morning show on Heart, plus Heart’s Club Classics every Saturday night and is one of the most-listened to broadcasters in the country, will join the hit show for one night only in London, on Thursday 10 November.
Christie has been fitted for her costumes and will be rehearsing with the cast – including the Olivier-Award winning lead Miriam-Teak Lee, who plays Juliet – ahead of the night. Pandora will be supported in the audience by her fellow presenters from Heart and its parent company Global, ensuring an amazing party atmosphere on the night.
The show announced a new cast in August, with Nicolas Colicos joining the show as Lance, Billy Nevers as Francois and Joe Foster as May. They joined Olivier Award winners Miriam-Teak Lee and Cassidy Janson, plus Oliver Tompsett, Tom Francis, and Malinda Parris.
& Juliet was scheduled to run until September 2023 at the Shaftesbury Theatre, but will now close at the end of March, ahead of a UK tour. New productions of & Juliet are also slated to open at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York, at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne, and in Europe.
The musical contains many of the biggest and most anthemic songs of the last 30 years, including Baby One More Time, Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), Love Me Like You Do, Confident, It’s My Life, Can’t Feel My Face and the roof-raising Roar.
& Juliet is directed by Luke Sheppard, with a book by David West Read (Schitt’s Creek), choreography from Jennifer Weber, set design from Soutra Gilmour and costume design by Paloma Young. The music is arranged by Tony® and Grammy Award-winning orchestrator Bill Sherman.
The show recently announced its final performance at the Shaftesbury Theatre will be on 25 March 2023, after over three years in the West End.
