Charles Court Opera‘s annual boutique Christmas shows are legendary, and Rumpelstiltskin –  an upside down re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale – will be no exception. Rumpelstiltskin is imaginative, irreverent and absolutely irresistible!

The writing team behind last year’s OFFIE award-winning hit, Beowulf, present another completely reimagined, madcap fairytale with a brand-new script by John Savournin and new music and lyrics by David Eaton.

Rumpelstiltskin panto to run at the Park Theatre in London
A new panto production of Rumpelstiltskin will open at the Park Theatre in London this Christmas. Offie Award Winners, Charles Court Opera and Music Theatre make their Park90 debut turning the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale, Rumpelstiltskin, into a new story of names, identities, adventure, and hilarity. Rumpelstiltskin tickets on sale now. Rumpelstiltskin will begin performances on 13 December 2022. The family friendly show is suitable for ages 8+ and has a running time of approximately 2 hours including interval. Casting for the show is to be announced. One of the leading and most versatile chamber music theatre companies in the UK, CCO’s pantos are a legendary part of London’s Christmas, with last year’s Beowulf winning ‘Best Panto’ at the Offies. They are committed to devising new work, education and outreach, and have recently achieved major critical success for their collaborations with Opera Holland Park and Wilton’s Music Hall. The Founding Artistic Director and Producer, John Savournin, penned the script, and Musical Director David Eaton composed the music and lyrics. With a high energy cast and all the wacky and wonderful weirdness that comes with a Charles Court show, this is sure to be the perfect Christmas confection for all.
