Running from 9 December 2026 to 3 January 2027, this heart-warming musical adventure tells the story of George, who wishes he wasn’t the scruffiest giant in town, until a trip to a fancy clothes shop gives him a spectacular new look, complete with smart trousers, a smart shirt, a stripy tie and shiny shoes.
Now the smartest giant in town, George soon bumps into a series of animals who desperately need his help and his brand-new clothes. What follows is a beautiful tale about friendship and the simple joy of helping others, brought to life with delightful puppets, catchy songs and Julia Donaldson’s beloved characters.
The production comes from the award-winning Little Angel Theatre, the company behind acclaimed stage versions of Donaldson favourites A Squash and a Squeeze and Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book, together with West End producers Fierylight, whose family credits include Peppa Pig, Bing, Octonauts and The BFG. With its winning combination of puppetry, music and storytelling, this Olivier Award-nominated show is the perfect introduction to live theatre for younger audiences.
