Tom, Dick & Harry, a new play about one of the most daring escape attempts of World War II will open at Alexandra Palace this Summer.
Using top-secret information from the war archives, classified until 1972, Andrew Pollard, Michael Hugo, and Theresa Heskins’ new play debunks the myths, honours the people involved, and tells the true story of the most daring escape attempt in World War II history.
Filled with dynamic drama, humour and breathtaking theatricality, Tom, Dick & Harry tells an extraordinary true story of the escape from Stalag Luft III, of solidarity across nations, and of an unbreakable spirit to achieve the impossible.
The new play is from the team behind the smash-hit Around The World In 80 Days, directed by Theresa Heskins (Olivier Award-winning The Worst Witch) and co-produced by the New Vic Theatre and Kenny Wax Productions (The Play That Goes Wrong, Six The Musical).
The creative team include set designer Laura Willstead, costumer designer Lis Evans, lighting designer Daniella Beanie, sound designer Alex Day, musical director/composer James Atherton, choreographer Beverley Norris-Edmunds, casting associate Anti Carroll CDG, vocal coach Caroline Heatherington and assistant director Filiz Ozcan.
Prior to Alexandra Palace Theatre, Tom, Dick & Harry runs at New Vic Theatre, Newcastle-Under-Lyme from 10 June-9 July 2022.
Tom, Dick & Harry runs from 26 July 2022 until 28 August 2022 at Alexandra Palace. Press night is 28 July. Tickets for Tom, Dick & Harry on sale soon.
