Get tickets to Our Town at Rose Theatre Kingston – Starring Michael Sheen
Michael Sheen (Good Omens, Frost/Nixon, Nye) stars in Our Town, Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, in a powerful new production from Welsh National Theatre and Rose Theatre Kingston.
Directed by Francesca Goodridge (co-director of Nye, National Theatre) with award-winning screen writer Russell T Davies (Doctor Who, It’s A Sin) as creative consultant, this bold reimagining places Wilder’s iconic story in a Welsh setting, celebrating community, memory and the quiet beauty of everyday life.
This strictly limited London run takes place at Rose Theatre Kingston from 26 February to 28 March 2026. Don’t miss this extraordinary new staging of a beloved classic.
“Does anyone ever realise life while they live it… every, every minute?’
Grover’s Corners is a quiet little town, full of ordinary folk, living everyday lives. They work, they laugh, they sing, they fall in love and raise their children, and grow old.
But within those moments of ordinary, everyday life, there are truths that reach out to us all. And a passionate demand to cherish every moment, right now, while we still can.
Our Town is American playwright Thornton Wilder’s masterpiece, and this new production sees the story through a Welsh lens, bringing new life and vivid resonance for modern audiences.
When Dylan Thomas created his own version of village life in Under Milk Wood, it’s said that he knew both Wilder and this play. That common bond makes Our Town the perfect inaugural production of the WNT, showcasing the finest talent Welsh in play with universal and timeless resonance.
