London Theatre Week is officially back and it’s the perfect excuse to finish off the summer holidays with a family trip to the theatre. Time is of the essence if you’ve got any Stranger Things fans in your family. This hit West End show, which has transformed the Phoenix Theatre into Hawkins, Indiana for the last three years to the delight of many, takes its final bow on 26 December 2026.
Written by Kate Trefry, from an original story by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things: The First Shadow takes audiences back to the very beginning of the story. In 1959, Hawkins was just a regular town, and home to a few familiar faces like Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado (before she became a Byers of course). When new student Henry Creel arrives in town, things take a dark turn.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - One Part

10 years after its record-breaking debut in the West End, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been reimagined for a new decade. The two-part version officially closes on 20 September, after which it will reopen in a one-part version.

My Neighbour Totoro transferred to the West End after two sold out runs at the Barbican, receiving high praise from critics for its joyful and magic-infused production. Adapting the classic Studio Ghibli animated film for the stage, this magical production follows sisters Satsuki and Mei as they move to a new home and have an encounter with spirits of the forest. Those spirits, from soot sprites and the Cat Bus to Totoro himself, take the form of puppets, flitting across the stage with plenty of delight and wonder.

This beloved musical has been a must-see since it returned to the West End in 2024 with a shining new production directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne (Swan Lake, Romeo & Juliet).
