Based on the award winning picture book by Judith Kerr, The Tiger Who Came to Tea returns to London’s West End in 2022 for its 8th London season.

Adapted for the stage with songs and lyrics by the UK’s leading children’s theatre dramatist David Wood OBE, this musical treat is a delight for kids of all ages. David Wood is an acclaimed children’s theatre dramatist and director. His many successes include theatrical adaptations of Shaun the Sheep, Fantastic Mr Fox, The BFG, The Witches, Meg and Mog, Spot, The Gingerbread Man and Babe the Sheep Pig.

The hilarious tale of a tea-guzzling tiger who drops in for tea contains lots of surprises for the whole family.

Judith Kerr's timeless classic illustrated book The Tiger Who Came to Tea was first published in 1968 and is in its 54th year, having sold over 5 million copies. The stage show first premiered in 2008, and has never stopped touring around the UK and internationally. In 2012 the show was nominated for the Olivier Award for 'Best Family Entertainment'. Bringing the nation's favourite tea-guzzling tiger to life on stage, this musical slice of teatime mayhem entertains with sing-a-long songs, oodles of magic and interactive fun. It's the ideal introduction to live theatre for children aged three and above and the perfect summer treat for the whole family.
