It’s been announced today that Matt Henry will stay on as Nigel in The Devil Wears Prada, a role he was originally slated to depart in October of this year. The news was announced alongside an update that the musical is officially extending its London run until 25 September 2027.
Since opening in the West End in December 2024, The Devil Wears Prada has become the fastest-selling show in the Dominion Theatre’s history. The production will reach another milestone this September, when it reaches its 800th performance.
It has been announced today that not only is the production extending until September 2027, but Matt Henry will also remain in the cast as Nigel into 2027. It was announced earlier this year that he was planning to depart this October.
He has played Nigel to Vanessa William’s Miranda Priestly since the musical opened. For her part, Williams will leave the production on 19 September 2026. A replacement has not yet been announced.

A high-fashion spectacle
The musical follows aspiring journalist Andy as she scores a job at prestigious fashion magazine Runway, working for editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, one of the industry’s most powerful and terrifying figures.
Based on Lauren Weisberger’s best-selling 2003 novel and the subsequent 2006 film, the musical features a score by none other than music icon Elton John.
It’s directed and choreographed by Broadway legend Jerry Mitchell (Legally Blonde the Musical) with lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, and a book by Kate Wetherhead.
