Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in London has extended the run of its anticipated revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS.

Directed and choreographed by the venue’s Artistic Director Drew McOnie (Jesus Christ Superstar), CATS was scheduled to run from 25 July to 12 September 2026. However, due to demand, the show will now play for an extra week, until 19 September 2026.

The cast of CATS

The full company of CATS was recently announced, and includes West End star Gary Wilmot (Anything Goes) as Gus the Theatre Cat, Melanie La Barrie (& Juliet, Hadestown) as Old Deuteronomy, and Rachael Wooding (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) as Grizabella, who sings the show’s iconic showstopper “Memory”.

Based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, this revival promises to reimagine the Jellicle Ball for the unique and beautiful outdoor setting of Regent’s Park.

The score by Andrew Lloyd Webber, one of the most successful in musical theatre history, includes “The Jellicle Ball,” “Macavity: The Mystery Cat,” and the chart-topping hit “Memory.”

Following London, the show will go out on a UK tour.
