The first production photos have been released for Robert Icke’s highly anticipated new staging of Romeo & Juliet at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Starring Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink as Juliet and Hamnet star Noah Jupe as Romeo, this major revival marks the West End debut for both Hollywood actors. The production is currently playing a strictly limited season until 20 June 2026.

A visionary revival

Directed and adapted by Robert Icke (Oedipus, The Doctor), this production brings a visceral, modern energy to Shakespeare’s tragedy.

In true Icke style, a digital clock on stage counts down the minutes, heightening the sense of fate and time, while “Sliding Doors” moments suggest alternative paths for the star-crossed lovers.

The cast of Romeo & Juliet

Romeo & Juliet is headlined by Stranger Things star Sadie Sink (John Proctor is the Villain) as Juliet, and Hollywood actor Noah Jupe (Hamnet, A Quiet Place) as Romeo. Both are making their West End debuts in the production.

They are joined in the cast by Clare Perkins (The Wheel of Time; Player Kings, West End) as Nurse, John Marquez (Doc Martin; Pygmalion, The Old Vic) as Friar Laurence, Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D; Good Night, and Good Luck, Broadway) as Capulet, and Kasper Hilton-Hille (Dear England, Troilus & Cressida, Shakespeare’s Globe) as Friar John and Mercutio.

The company is completed by Dylan Corbett-Bader as Benvolio, Eden Epstein as Lady Capulet, Alex Felton as Abraham, Ada Grey as First Servant, Aruna Jalloh as Tybalt, Caroline Moroney as Second Servant, David Shelley as Apothecary/Montague, Lewis Shepherd as Paris, and Alexander Uzoka as Gregory.
