From the director of Cabaret and A Streetcar Named Desire
Multi Olivier Award-winning director Rebecca Frecknall brings her new production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet to the Almeida Theatre this summer 2023.
Romeo and Juliet stars Isis Hainsworth (Red Rose, Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour, A Midsummer Night’s Dream) as Juliet, and Emmy Award-nominee Toheeb Jimoh (Ted Lasso, Nine Lessons and Carols: stories for a long winter) as Romeo.
Following her “electrifying and revelatory” (New York Times) production of A Streetcar Named Desire, Almeida Associate Director Rebecca Frecknall promises to completely reimagine Shakespeare‘s ferocious and bloody tragedy.
Romeo and Juliets is playing from 6 June to 29 July 2023 at the Almeida Theatre.
