The producers of the world premiere production of Allegra starring Maureen Lipman have announced full casting for the UK tour.

Quick Take: New comedy Allegra is set to tour in 2026 directed and choreographed by award-winner Stephen Mear, and starring Corrie’s Maureen Lipman, Emmerdale’s John Middleton, and Elizabeth Bower and Bailey Patrick.

Peter Quilter’s new play will premiere at Brighton’s Theatre Royal on 12 May, and then visit High Wycombe, Aberdeen, Malvern, London Richmond, Windsor, Glasgow, and Bath.

A West End run for Allegra is also planned, although there are currently no further details.

Allegra is written by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Peter Quilter (Rose, End of the Rainbow), and this new production will be directed and choreographed by Olivier Award-winner Stephen Mear (Mary Poppins, Hello, Dolly!).
