Meet Ebony — the ruthless boss of a major fashion empire who has cancelled Christmas in favour of her latest runway spectacular. But when three mysterious visitors appear, Ebony is taken on a magical journey that reconnects her with her Caribbean heritage and the true spirit of the season.

Directed and choreographed by Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe, Associate Artistic Director of ZooNation, Ebony Scrooge features original music by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante (Boy Blue, The Effect).

What is Ebony Scrooge about?

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, Ebony Scrooge follows fashion mogul Ebony as she prepares for her biggest show yet — having completely cancelled Christmas in the process.

Surrounded by wealth, success and style, Ebony is forced to confront her past when three mystical visitors guide her on a transformative journey through family, identity and self-discovery.

Blending humour, music and high-energy dance, the show reimagines Dickens’ festive classic through a contemporary hip hop lens.
