Tickets for the UK leg of the tour go on general sale on 6 June at 10am.

Operation Mincemeat starting its tour at The Lowry in Manchester is significant for the show, as it was the first venue to encourage the writing team to create their debut musical, co-commission the production, and support its early development.

SpitLip, the musical’s writers and composers, said in a joint statement: “Broadway opened the literal world to us, and we couldn’t be more grateful for every unpredictable twist of this astonishing journey. Most of all, we wish to thank the audiences who continue to carry this show with love and enthusiasm. Operation Mincemeat reminds us that in uncertain times, the bonds between allies are more important than ever – and that message feels especially relevant as we consider all the great nations in which our show will now have the opportunity to play. This show continues to be the adventure of a lifetime, and we’re wildly excited about what’s to come.”

In other Mincemeat news this week, the show announced that it is extending its run at the Fortune Theatre in London, and is now booking to 28 February 2026.

Also this week, a new cast joined the London production, including Alex Young (Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Ewen Montagu & others, Roshani Abbey (Hamilton) as Jean Leslie & others, Danny Becker (Disney’s Aladdin) as Hester Leggatt & others, and Peter McGovern (Much Ado About Nothing) as Charles Cholmondeley & others. They joined Chloe Hart (Six The Musical, Hairspray, Wicked) as Johnny Bevan & others.

Last Thursday, the cast of Operation Mincemeat performed at the VE Day 80: A Celebration to Remember concert in London, singing “Sail On, Boys” from the show.

Also announced this week, one of the show’s original creators and current star of the Broadway production, Jak Malone, won an Outer Critics Circle Award for her performance as Hester Leggatt & others in the show. The show has also been nominated for four Tony Awards.

The Broadway production of Operation Mincemeat is currently playing at the Golden Gate Theatre in New York, booking to 15 February 2026. The show features the original West End cast, including David Cumming, Claire-Marie Hall, Natasha Hodgson, Jak Malone and Zoë Roberts.
