The King’s Head Theatre has announced a number of special guests performers joining the adult performances of its festive pant Cinderella.

Cinderella plays the King’s Head Theatre from 30 November 2024 to 5 January 2025.

Already announced are Drag Race UK Star Ella Vaday (aka Nick Collier) as ugly stepsister Peckham, with Mamma Mia: I have a Dream contestant Maddy Erzan-Essien as Cinderella, and the voices of Dame Judi Dench as The Narrator, and Miriam Margolyes as the Wicked Stepmother.

The adult performances of the panto will take place on 5, 11, 12, 19, 30 December 2024 & 5 January 2025 and will feature guest stars Cassidy Janson (& Juliet) on 5 December, Vinegar Strokes (Drag Race) on 11 December, Danielle Steers (Six The Musical) on 12 December, John Owen-Jones (Les Misérables) on 19 December, Trevor Ashley (The Producers) on 30 December, and Christina Bianco (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat) on 5 January.

At each performance a special guest star will have their own featured number at the Prince’s ball, and join the cast for the all-singing, all-dancing closing number.

The cast also includes Joseph Lukehurst (Dreamboats and Petticoats) as Prince Charming, Verity Kirk (POSH) as Dandini, Robert Rees (Beirut) as Buttons and Lucia Vinyard (Flora the Red Menace) as Fairy Codmother.

Fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes is designing Cinderella’s costume in collaboration with Gregor Donnelly, and artist Andrew Logan MBE will be designing the Fairy Godmother’s wand. These will be auctioned off once the show finishes, as a fundraiser for the King’s Head Theatre.

Executive Producer and Acting CEO of King’s Head Theatre Sofi Berenger said in a statement: “We are so excited to welcome these wonderfully talented performers to join us for panto joy this Christmas, and to be bringing some West End and Drag royalty to Islington. While the adults-only performances will have the same script as the main pantomime, we’ll be adding a little King’s Head magic with a sprinkle of swearing and innuendo bound to make for a great night out. We’re super pleased to be able to offer both something for families and something a bit naughtier.”

Cinderella is written and directed by Andrew Pollard (CBeebies’ Robin Hood), with set and costume design by Gregor Donnelly, with lighting by Aaron J Dootson and puppetry by Little Angel Theatre. Hollie Cassar is musical director, alongside musical supervisor Ben Barrow. The creative team is completed by production manager Dan Weager and casting director Marc Frankum.

The show is produced by King’s Head Theatre, Elphin Productions and Little Angel Theatre

Cinderella is running at the King’s Head Theatre from 30 November 2024 to 5 January 2025.
