Nominations are out for the Grammy Awards 2025, including Best Musical Theater Album.
For the third year in a row, Broadway has dominated the nods, with all nominations relating to Broadway shows.
The six Grammy nominations for Best Musical Theater Album are Hell’s Kitchen, Merrily We Roll Along, The Notebook, The Outsiders, Suffs and The Wiz.
Four of the musicals are still running on Broadway – Hell’s Kitchen, The Notebook, The Outsiders and Suffs.
New musical theatre soundtracks recently released include Sunset Boulevard starring Nicole Scherzinger, which is now playing on Broadway; and Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis’s new show Warriors.
Coming soon is the cast recording of London’s Starlight Express, which has been slightly delayed and is now released on 15 November.
Also in the works are recordings of musical Why Am I So Single?, which is now playing at the Garrick Theatre in London.
