Bill Kenwright Ltd has announced a major new UK tour for Ghost The Musical.
The tour starts on 22 August 2024 in Aylesbury before embarking on a tour of venues across the UK including Sunderland, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Darlington, Cheltenham, Leicester, Torquay, Coventry, Bradford, Aberdeen, Stoke, Bath and Blackpool.
Ghost The Musical features songs by multi-award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics, The Time Traveller’s Wife) and Grammy award winning Glen Ballard (Back to the Future The Musical), plus The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody.
The show’s book is by Bruce Joel Rubin based on his Oscar winning screenplay for the movie, which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.
In the show, walking back to their apartment late one night, a tragic encounter sees Sam murdered and his girlfriend Molly alone, in despair and utterly lost. With the help of a phony storefront psychic, Sam, trapped between this world and the next, tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving her from grave danger…
The musical premiered in Manchester in 2011, and went on to play the West End and Broadway.
This production is directed by Bob Tomson with choreography by Alistair David, design by Mark Bailey, lighting design by Nick Richings, sound design by Dan Samson and illusions by Richard Pinner.
