Casting has been announced for the 2024 UK tour of Ghost The Musical.

Rebekah Lowings (The Sound of Music) as Molly Jenson and Jacqui Dubois (People, Places and Things) as Oda Mae Brown are to set to reprise their roles in the hit musical.

Sam will be played by Josh St. Clair (Frozen) with James Mateo-Salt (Bonnie and Clyde) cast in the role of Carl Bruner.

The cast also includes TV legend Les Dennis (Only Fools and Horses The Musical, Hairspray) as Hospital Ghost/Lionel Ferguson, and Jules Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) reprising the role of Willie Lopez.

Completing the cast are Gerry Lee (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) as Subway Ghost, Tanisha Butterfield (Sister Act The Musical) as Clara, Keiahna Jackson-Jones (professional stage debut) as Louise, Molly Cleere (Mamma Mia! The Party) as Mrs Santiago/Bank Officer, Gabrielle Cummins (Annie) as Officer Wallace, Olivia-Rose Deer (professional stage debut) as Susan/Ortisha, Wade Lewin (The Lion King) as Orlando, Jamie Pritchard (Les Misérables) as Detective Biederman, with Joe Readman (Grease The Musical) in the ensemble.

Produced by Bill Kenwright Ltd, the show begins performances on 22 August 2024 in Aylesbury before embarking on a tour of venues across the UK including Sunderland, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Darlington, Cheltenham, Leicester, Torquay, Coventry, Bradford, Aberdeen, Stoke, Bath and Blackpool. Also announced today, tour dates for 2025 to include London’s Wimbledon Theatre, Bromley, High Wycombe, Southampton, Cardiff, Sheffield, Birmingham and Hull.

Ghost The Musical features songs by multi-award winning Dave Stewart (Eurythmics, The Time Traveller’s Wife) and Grammy award winning Glen Ballard (Back to the Future The Musical), plus The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody.

The show’s book is by Bruce Joel Rubin based on his Oscar winning screenplay for the movie, which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.

The musical premiered in Manchester in 2011, and went on to play the West End and Broadway.

This production is directed by Bob Tomson with choreography by Alistair David, design by Mark Bailey, lighting design by Nick Richings, sound design by Dan Samson and illusions by Richard Pinner.

Fans of the musical will also be able to see a concert version of the show in London’s West End later this year. Ghost The Musical in Concert will play a one-off performance on 1 October 2024 at Adelphi Theatre starring Lucie Jones (Wicked, The Baker’s Wife, Waitress) and Oliver Tompsett (& Juliet).
