Smash hit Edinburgh show Sophie’s Surprise Christmas Party is back in London this festive season, playing at Underbelly Boulevard Soho in London’s Soho from 13 November – 10 January 2027.

What is Sophie’s Surprise Christmas Party about?

Say goodbye to awkward office parties and hello to a festive celebration with serious sparkle! Fusing circus artistry with immersive theatre and a euphoric ’90s throwback soundtrack, the show blurs the boundary between audience and performer, and no two shows are ever the same.

For each show, one lucky audience member is chosen to become Sophie – the unsuspecting guest of honour at the centre of the action, as a seemingly ordinary party spirals into circus-fuelled chaos. Featuring gravity-defying aerial acts, fearless acrobatics and astonishing displays of physical artistry from performers whose credits include Cirque du Soleil and Disney’s The Greatest Showman, the show promises to surprise, delight and keep the party going all night long.

This is the party other parties wish they could be – no boring small talk, just Sophie, her besties, a stripping elf and mad high jinks. It’s part circus spectacle, part comedy cabaret, part house party, and serves up world-class performances, hilarious characters and a pumping ’90s soundtrack.

The show also blurs the boundary between audience and performer, where no two shows are the same. Each evening, one lucky audience member is chosen to become Sophie, the unsuspecting guest of honour at the centre of the action.
