It’s only less than two weeks ago that Stevie Doc and Tobias Turley won the grand final of ITV’s talent competition Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream!
The final took place at the London home of hit West End musical Mamma Mia! – the Novello Theatre in London’s West End.
And that venue will be Stevie and Tobias’s new home from 29 January 2024, when the pair begin starring in the long-running musical, making their West End debuts as Sophie and Sky in the show. Tickets are on sale now.
The ITV show to cast a new Sophie and Sky for Mamma Mia! was set on a Greek Island, and started with 14 Sophie and Sky hopefuls. They were slowly eliminated down to four final contestants by the judges – West End star of Frozen The Musical at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Samantha Barks (from 7 February 2024); Olivier Award-winning TV and stage star Amber Riley (Glee, The Wiz, Dreamgirls); comedian Alan Carr; and singer songwriter Jessie Ware.
The grand finale saw the final four contestants fight it out for the ultimate showbiz prize – Stevie Doc, 22, a musical theatre teacher from Glasgow, Esme Bowdler, 23, a barista from Chester, Owen Johnston, 25, a theatre usher from Belfast and Tobias Turley, 23, a singing waiter from Somerset.
Stevie and Tobias were eventually crowned the winners after a public vote saw people at home choose who they thought should win the roles of a lifetime.
And now, ITV has dropped two new compilation videos, that bring together all of the best bits from Stevie and Tobias’s performances over the course of the 8 part series.
