Smash-hit London musical SIX hit a West End milestone last night, 5 December 2023, having played for 1,000 performances at the Vaudeville Theatre in London.
The audience at the Vaudeville last night were greeted by balloons, and a souvenir golden ticket on their seat – with a lucky winner surprised at the end of the show and presented with a bespoke goody bag by the cast.
Six is created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, and debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2018. It has subsequently gone on to become a theatre sensation, including London runs at the Arts Theatre, Lyric, and then the Vaudeville from November 2021.
The London show currently stars Nikki Bentley as Catherine of Aragon, Thao Therese Nguyen as Anne Boleyn, Kayleigh McKnight as Jane Seymour, Reca Oakley as Anna of Cleves, Inez Budd as Katherine Howard and Janiq Charles as Catherine Parr.
Winner of over 35 international awards, including two 2022 Tony Awards, a WhatsOnStage award, and nominated for five Oliviers, there are also multiple international productions of the show, including on Broadway at the Lena Horne Theatre in New York. Six is also touring the UK – book tickets here.
