Clueless The Musical is headed to London.
A new musical adaptation of the classic film Clueless will have an exclusive two-week run in London as it continues to be developed for the stage.
The modern spin on Jane Austen’s Emma gets another timeless makeover from the original film’s writer-director Amy Heckerling along with a multi-award winning creative team. Brit Award winner singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, who also wrote the music for Saving Grace will provide the music with lyrics by Grammy Award winner and three-time Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, whose credits include Tangled, Sister Act The Musical, The Little Mermaid, Love Never Dies and School of Rock.
This new UK premiere of Clueless will be directed by Sarna Lapine, who directed the acclaimed Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park with George starring Jake Gyllenhaal. A musical version of Clueless previously premiered off-Broadway in 2018 as a juke-box musical featuring 80s & 90’s classic songs.
Clueless the Musical will run at Churchill Theatre Bromley from 12 to 24 February 2024.
