It looks like the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s production of 101 Dalmatians The Musical is heading out on tour in 2024.
Dates are on sale for the Theatre Royal Norwich and Grand Opera House Belfast, and it’s assumed many more dates and venues are to be announced.
Based on the much-loved book by Dodie Smith, and turned into a number of blockbuster movies by Disney, 101 Dalmatians The Musical has been adapted by Zinnie Harris, and boasts music and lyrics by actor, writer and composer Douglas Hodge, and a book by Johnny McKnight.
The show proved a crowd-pleaser with critics and audiences at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in the Summer of 2022 starring Kate Fleetwood as Cruella de Vil, and directed by the Open Air’s outgoing Artistic Director Timothy Sheader, who takes up the top job at the Dommar Warehouse this March.
It is currently unclear who is directing the tour, and casting hasn’t yet been announced.
