Casting has been announced for A Sherlock Carol at the Marylebone Theatre in London.
Ben Caplan (Call the Midwife) and Kammy Darweish (Life of Pi) will star as Sherlock Holmes and Ebenezer Scrooge, reprising their roles from last year.
Also returning in 2024 will be Rosie Armstrong as The Countess & others, Richard James as Dr Watson & others, Devesh Kishore as Dr Cratchit & others, Hannah Parker as Understudy and Henry Proffit as Alternate Sherlock Holmes and Understudy.
New to the cast for 2024 is Louise Hoare playing Emma Wiggins & others.
Last year, the role of Emma Wiggins & others was played by Jessica Hern.
Now in its third year in London, this Dickens and Doyle mash-up sees the worlds of Charles Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle combined as Sherlock Holmes finds himself investigating the mysterious death of Ebenezer Scrooge.
Written and directed by Mark Shanahan, the wider creative team includes Scenic Design by Anna Louizos, with Costume Design by Linda Cho, Lighting Design by Rui Rita, Original Music & Sound Design by John Gromada, the Associate Director is Alexandra Sumner-Hughes, Associate Scenic Designer is William Fricker, Costume Associate is Ricky Lurie, Associate Lighting Designer is Holly Ellis, and the Casting Director is Abby Galvin.
A Sherlock Carol is playing at the Marylebone Theatre from 29 November 2024 to 5 January 2025.
The show is produced by DEM Productions, Fat Goose Productions, and Theatre Nerd Productions in association with Darcy Dobson Productions.
The Producers said today: “We are delighted to welcome back so many familiar favourites to the cast of A Sherlock Carol, bringing another year of magic and mystery to Baker Street.”
Even more seats have been released and the production has added an additional Boxing Day matinee performance on 26 December due to demand.
