Tosca in London
A gripping new production of Puccini’s Tosca comes to the London Coliseum with English National Opera from 30 October – 11 December 2026.
ENO’s Artistic Director Annilese Miskimmon reimagines this timeless opera, a story of love, power and sacrifice.
The production will feature Grammy Award-winning Axelle Fanyo and Chaz’men Williams-Ali as Cavaradossi. The Children’s Chorus will be cast from Marlborough Primary School, through an ENO Engage partnership with the Tri-borough Music Hub and London West Music Hub.
What is Tosca about?
Set in a concert hall in an unidentified European state overtaken by civil conflict, opera singer Floria Tosca plans a secret meeting with her lover, the painter Mario Cavaradossi.
When the corrupt police chief Scarpia intervenes, a place of music is transformed into a site of fear and violence. Over the course of one night, Tosca is forced to fight for her love, her honour and her life.
