The best London theatre plays running during Christmas 2023 on the West End stage, including smash-hit dramas, comedies and thrillers.

There is something very special about heading into the West End in December to see the Christmas lights, and to see a London Theatre show.

The West End serves up a dazzling range of plays this year, from intense drama, to hilarious comedy and nail-biting thrillers.

Long-running plays for families and children include long-runner Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre; hilarious comedy The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess Theatre; and Agatha Christie’s murder-mystery thriller The Mousetrap at St Martin’s Theatre.
