Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Luzia’ to run at Royal Albert Hall in 2022

Cirque du Soleil’s Mexican themed stage show LUZIA will open at the Royal Albert Hall in January 2022, it has been announced.

Drawing on both traditional and contemporary Mexican culture, LUZIA features a cast of 44 artists performing a variety of acrobatic and artistic scenes as well as water effects. The show received its UK premiere in 2020 where it was lauded by fans and critics with The Stage calling it ‘spectacular and thrilling’ and the Guardian calling it ‘a show full of heart-stopping skill, dreamy lyricism and visual whimsy’.

Cirque du Soleil Luzia

Starting on 12 January, the piece is part of the Royal Albert Hall’s 150th anniversary season, and is written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, in association with Brigitte Poupart.

Luzia is the company’s 38th show and the first UK production to include stunning water features. A dazzling luminous spectacle, Cirque du Soleil – Luzia is not to be missed. Tickets will go on general sale at 10am on Thursday 29 April 2021.
