The West End Musical Christmas Live at the Palace Theatre series of concerts which were due to take place in London last December have been rescheduled and rebranded to a West End Musical Celebration.

The show will now take place at the Palace Theatre in the heart of London’s West End running from 6-9 May 2021 with an official press night on 6 May.

The concert will continue to be a celebration of musical theatre and will feature a host of stars singing songs from the West End and musical theatre canon.

Casting is yet to be revealed, however the cast for the planned Christmas series previously included Alice Fearn (Come From Away, Wicked), Sophie Evans (Wicked, The Wizard of Oz), Ben Forster (Phantom, Jesus Christ Superstar), Shanay Holmes (The Bodyguard), Rachel John (Hamilton, The Bodyguard), Jamie Muscato (Big Fish, Lazarus), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Hamilton, Aladdin) and Layton Williams (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Rent), with special guest stars each evening.

Producers Shanay Holmes and Chris Steward said: “As with our highly successful drive-in shows we invite the audience to ‘step into the world of musicals’ and ‘become the cast’ in this immersive and interactive concert!

The concerts are directed and choreographed by Tom Jackson Greaves with musical direction and arrangements by Richard Beadle, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Rob Bettle and costume design by Faye Young.

West End Musical Celebration is booking from 6 May 2021 until 9 May 2021 at the Palace Theatre, London.
