A Christmas Carol didn’t just invent Christmas as we know it. It’s also scary, joyful, spooky, hilarious, furious, beautiful, and a triumphant declaration that even the hardest heart can melt.

Three outstanding actors – Simon Russell Beale, Eben Figueiredo and Lyndsey Marshal – come together to tell Charles Dickens’ story and play all the parts.

Devised by Nicolas Hytner, A Christmas Carol was previously seen at The Bridge in December 2020. This festive treat returns for a limited 4-week season from 6 December 2022 until 31 December 2022 at the Bridge Theatre.

What's the story of A Christmas Carol?

Charles Dickens classic tale is brought to life by three acclaimed actors at the Bridge Theatre this Christmas.

Taken on a magical and transformational journey by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, the cold-hearted Scrooge realises he must change his ways or he will  surely suffer an eternal misery like his old friend Jacob Marley.

A Christmas Carol stars Tony and Olivier Award winner Simon Russell Beale (The Lehman Trilogy on Broadway/West End), Eben Figueiredo (Cyrano de Bergerac Playhouse Theatre) and Lyndsey Marshal (Force Majeure Donmar Warehouse, The Wild Duck  Almeida Theatre).

Who are the creative team of A Christmas Carol?

Devised and directed by Nicholas Hytner with Set and costume designs are again by Rose Revitt, with lighting by Jon Clark, sound by Gareth Fry, video design by Luke Halls and Zakk Hein, music by Grant Olding and choreography by James Cousins.
