Following a smash-hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Honest Amy transfers to London’s Turbine Theatre .
Directed by multi-award winning actor, director and writer Kathy Burke (Gimme Gimme Gimme, Nil By Mouth, Absolutely Fabulous) Honest Amy follows Amy Booth-Steel as she sings her way through her darkest times with gallows humour and blunt wit.
Honest Amy is booking from 24 March 2020 until 10 April 2020 at the Turbine Theatre, London.
What’s the Story?
Remember when I got cancer and had a breakdown in Tesco’s? Then literally went mental and posted some songs on Twitter?
When anxiety was at full capacity level, my mum bought me a ukulele and it has saved my life. I wrote some songs and randomly posted them online.
Shit. Got. Real! Before I knew it there were millions of hits. I have no idea how it has all happened but people just seemed to relate to my random bedroom tales! This is a common story about common people.
Who’s in it? Honest Amy Cast
Amy Booth-Steel (Heathers, Sister Act, The Sound of Music, One Man, Two Guvnors and The Light Princess) will reprise her performance, after starring in the one-woman show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
