Debbie McGee to make acting stage debut in ‘The House on Cold Hill’

Debbie McGee will make her acting stage debut in a new production of The House on Cold Hill.

McGee will play the kooky psychic in the stage adaptation of Peter James No. 1 best-selling thriller which runs at The Mill at Sonning.

Debbie McGee is regular panelist on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ and recently wowed the country with her dancing skills on the last series of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, however she is best known as the assistant and wife of the late magician Paul Daniels.

Director Keith Myers said: “‘The House on Cold Hill’ is the third Peter James thriller I will have the pleasure to direct for the wonderful Mill at Sonning, and now that pleasure is enhanced by the lovely Debbie McGee joining us to play the whacky psychic, Annie. I’m sure anyone who has seen her on stage or TV will agree with me that she is a natural comedienne.”

McGee said: “I am overflowing with excitement and nerves for my stage acting debut, I have always wanted to act and because I love The Mill so much I cannot think of a better venue to step into this new world. When Paul and I first started going to see productions at the Mill 20 years ago, we were amazed at the quality of the plays in such a small venue. But it is actually the intimacy that makes The Mill so special.”

The thriller is a ghostly story of a family who move into their dream house only to find they might not be the only residents.

The House on Cold Hill will run for 8 weeks from 23 April 2020 until 13 June 2020 at The Mill at Sonning.
