Toby Stephens

Toby Stephens is a stage, screen and voice actor best known for roles including Bond villain Gustav Graves in Die Another Day.

He recently starred in Equus at the Menier Chocolate Factory in London and the RSC’s Wendy and Peter Pan at the Barbican Theatre in London.

Toby Stephens won the 1994 Ian Charleson Award for the title role of Coriolanus at the RSC having won the second prize for his 1992 performance of Bertram in All’s Well That Ends Well.

Toby is the younger son of acting legends Sir Robert Stephens and Dame Maggie Smith, and brother of actor Chris Larkin. He is a graduate of LAMDA.

Toby Stephens was last on stage on Broadway in Corruption at Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, Lincoln Center.

In the UK, he was last seen in the RSC’s Wendy and Peter Pan at the Barbican Theatre, and Florian Zeller’s The Forest at Hampstead Theatre.

Previous theatre credits include a revival of Tom Stoppard’s The Real Thing (The Old Vic), Private Lives (Gielgud), Danton’s Death and Oslo (National Theatre) the latter of which transferred to the Harold Pinter Theatre in the West End.

Toby was last at the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon in Michael Boyd’s highly acclaimed production of Hamlet, where he played the title role.
