The wider cast features Bella Aubin as Jill Mason, Emma Cunniffe as Dora Strang, Paula James as Nurse, Colin Mace as Frank Strang, Ed Mitchell as Nugget/Young Horseman, David Rubin as Dalton, with Luke Hodkinson, Aristide Lyons, Zach Parkin, Tommi Sutton, and Moses Ward.

Directed by Lindsay Posner (The Deep Blue Sea), Equus is written by multi-award-winning playwright Peter Shaffer (Amadeus, Lettice and Lovage, The Royal Hunt of the Sun).

In Equus, psychiatrist Martin Dysart is faced with the challenge of a lifetime when he is tasked with treating a 17-year-old boy who has inexplicably blinded six horses.

As Dysart delves into the boy’s psyche, he begins to question the nature of his own life and whether “curing” the boy’s pathological passion is a more dangerous act than the crime itself.

This new production is a co-production with Theatre Royal Bath.
