Sandra Marvin will join the West End company of ‘Waitress The Musical‘ at the Adelphi Theatre in London.
Marvin will play the role of Becky from 17 October 2019, assuming the role from Marisha Wallace who originated the role in the London production.
Sandra Marvin most recently appeared on screen as Jessie Dingle in ITV’s Emmerdale.
Her numerous West End roles include Queenie in Showboat, Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray as well as lead roles in Porgy & Bess, Ragtime, Committee and City of Angels.
Her wide-ranging career also includes performing with Kate Bush in concert and on her live album Before The Dawn.
Sandra Marvin will join lead cast members Lucie Jones as Jenna, Joe Sugg as Ogie, Laura Baldwin as Dawn, David Hunter as Dr. Pomatter, Tamlyn Henderson as Earl and Andrew Boyer as Old Joe.
Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a young woman whose talent for baking might be the path to a new life.
Waitress is booking until 28 March 2020 at the Adelphi Theatre, London.
